Upon entering the new tasting room, guests are greeted by an ambiance that offers the perfect balance between modern sophistication and warm hospitality. The design, brought to life by Seattle-based design firm Strata Architects, reflects the vision that owner Mark Ryan McNeilly had when starting his winemaking journey in 1999. Lots of natural light fills the Woodinville tasting room, with comfortable living room-style seating, a bar-top counter and a rooftop patio located on the second floor to be enjoyed year-round. Every inch of the tasting room provides guests and wine club members with a different experience and new views each time they visit. With a focus on creating an atmosphere where visitors can appreciate the artistry that goes into each bottle, alongside their collection of musical artwork hung throughout the space, Mark Ryan Woodinville is a must-see.

From its large wine portfolio offering a variety of tastings, wines by the glass and bottles for purchase, wine lovers will have the chance to taste something from each collection Mark Ryan Winery has to offer. One special sip is the Flowerhead Rosé from the Lu & Oly collection named after McNeilly’s two daughters Lucia and Olivia; this full-bodied vintage rosé is 60 percent Sangiovese, 32 percent Syrah and 8 percent Grenache. Many of the labels under this lineup of wines were designed by local illustrator and tattoo artist, Kyler Martz. Another favorite is the Megan Anne Black Love, paying tribute to McNeilly’s beautiful wife and their love for the Willamette Valley. This 100 percent Pinot Noir, which has not made a showing since 2019, is a rich full-bodied Willamette Valley Pinot Noir aged in the barrel for 18 months with 30 percent new French oak and 70 percent used French oak.
