With May 5 right around the corner, it’s time to get your plans in order and prepare for a fiesta unlike any other with one of the following Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Washington.

May 3 to May 5: Cinco de Mayo Festival 

Sunnyside

One of the largest cultural celebrations in the Pacific Northwest takes place in Yakima Valley, courtesy of the City of Sunnyside and Sunnyside Rotary. This three-day extravaganza will offer an assortment of fun for all ages, with more than 100 food and drink vendors, dancing horses, live entertainment, traditional music, a carnival, a car show and a Cinco de Mayo Parade to cap off the exciting celebrations. The event takes place May 3, from 3 to 9 p.m.; May 4, from noon to 11 p.m.; and May 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

May 4 and May 5: Waterways Cinco de Mayo Party Cruise

Seattle

Cheers to the holiday aboard the Cinco de Mayo Party Cruise, hosted by Waterway Cruises in Seattle. Cruise into the celebration with two experiences available, one on May 4, from 8 to 11 p.m., and another on May 5, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Each boat takes party-goers around Lake Union and Lake Washington as they enjoy craft sips, a DJ spinning some tunes, dancing, a taco and dessert bar, prize giveaways and much more during this 21-plus event.

This culinary journey through the renowned city will take celebrators to the best local restaurants and bars, where food and drink specials await. This exciting two-day festival will take place at Mexicuban Restaurant & Lounge each day from noon to 8 p.m., with activities including food and drink specials, dancing, music from DJ Precision and DJ Jaogaz as they spin reggaeton, salsa and Latin EDM, a beer garden for those 21-plus and more. May 5: Cinco de Mayo 5K

Puyallup

Enjoy a Cinco de Mayo celebration in Washington guilt-free this year by kicking off your party early (check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.) with the Cinco de Mayo 5K in Puyallup. This moderately challenging trail takes runners through the scenic waters of Clark’s Creek, followed by a fiesta with themed drinks, food and an all-around great time with fellow running enthusiasts. This 5K is chip-timed, and the prizes will be awarded to the top performers.
