Nonprofit of the Month: YouthCare
When it was founded in 1974, YouthCare was one of the first shelters for runaway and homeless youth on the West Coast. Today, it has 16 program locations in Seattle and King County, serving 1,500 young people each year.
Nonprofit of the Month: St. Francis House
In early October, St. Francis House reopened in a welcoming new building in Seattle better designed to meet its mission, which is to provide 13,000 vulnerable people each year with a sense of community, help them with their basic needs and serve them with respect.
