First job: While my first job was at Mohan Ski School as a ski assistant, my culinary journey began at Hunger 2.0 in Fremont as an unpaid prep cook.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WA: I love taking my dogs on hikes and exploring forests, beaches and other scenic areas in Washington.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Becoming an executive chef at 26. Becoming a chef has been my lifelong dream since I was 4, and having my mother and brother by my side, cheering me on with unwavering support, has made this accomplishment even more fulfilling.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Persevering in the culinary industry while developing three major allergies (dairy, gluten and eggs) and navigating the traditionally male-dominated field as a woman. However, by embracing creativity, resilience and a relentless passion for my craft, I’ve successfully carved out a niche for myself in the culinary realm.

Someone who inspires you and why: My boss, Ryan Steele, truly inspires me. He has created an environment where everyone feels valued and heard and cares for his team members beyond the workplace. He leads by example and his commitment to excellence inspires me to do the same in my career.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: For those aspiring to become executive chefs at a young age, start by accumulating hands-on experience in various kitchen settings. Continuously educate yourself, keep up with industry trends and maintain an unwavering passion for the culinary arts.

Favorite quote: “You need to focus on figuring out how to turn everything from your past into a positive catalyst in your current life.” —Unknown

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I have three major food allergies, including dairy, gluten and eggs. It’s been a journey navigating various dietary restrictions, but it’s also taught me resilience and creativity in finding alternative ways to enjoy food.

What makes someone fabulous: Someone who is confident, authentic and stylish. It’s about owning who you are, exuding charisma and spreading positivity.
