A Pink Floyd Experience at Sagecliffe Resort

SageCliffe Resort & Spa

Up above one the most beautiful backdrops in the Pacific Northwest sits SageCliffe Resort & Spa, overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. This breathtaking resort and spa in Quincy is just two hours east of Seattle. Escape to the serene landscapes of this secluded oasis, just minutes from the legendary Gorge Amphitheater.

The resort has guestroom options for everyone, whether you want to relax in luxury, crave some privacy or you’re more of an outdoor enthusiast. The private Cliffhouse suites are perfect for those seeking a resort feel with a little more exclusiveness. Each suite overlooks the Columbia River Gorge and is equipped with a spacious living area, a gas fireplace and a dreamy bathroom with a deep soaking tub. Enjoy the stunning sunrise with a cup of coffee or the breathtaking sunsets on your private arbor-covered terrace.

Don’t need all the space but still want privacy? Book the Cavern room. These rooms are tucked inside basalt rocks with a cavelike entrance that will make you feel like you’re part of the cliffside. With floor-to-ceiling windows, large soaking tubs and outstanding views overlooking the Columbia River, you’ll never want to leave. This is the perfect-sized room for a romantic getaway for two or even a relaxing weekend alone.

Adventure and outdoor lovers: SageCliffe has created the most unique experience for you in its Desert Yurt Village, created by Rainier Outdoors. Become one with nature in my most luxurious way. These yurts allow you to relax with no TV or phone in a sustainable yurt that even has a skylight above the king-size bed for stargazing. Each yurt comes with a spacious stand-alone shower, a mini fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a dining area, a sofa and air conditioning. This allows you to escape to the outdoors without fully going “off the grid.” On the property, the Cavern rooms and yurts are both pet-friendly and are lined with great paths to take your four-legged friend on a walk.

Heading to SageCliffe with a group or large family? Book a Lake Home, powered by sustainable energy. These modern 1,280-sq.-ft. homes have access to a private beach and include a covered driveway to park up to three cars or a boat (you can even charge your Tesla or Electric Vehicle during your stay). This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has a large kitchen, a washer/dryer and is fully stocked with everything you need for a weekend away. Because the Lake Home offers space and privacy to play music without having to worry about disrupting your neighbors, check out the large collection of vinyl records or call to the front desk for access to some of its private collection, available upon request.

For a smaller, houselike feel, check out the SageCliffe Ridge Condos with three different styles that are sure to meet all your expectations. These light and bright condos have a king-sized bed, a fully stocked kitchen and a spacious stand-alone shower. This is the perfect room to kick back and relax while taking in the views.

Tendrils restaurant, which Chef Dezmon Campos at the helm, is great for all hours of the day, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are looking to relax in your room or head to the pool, these menu items are available for room service or take-out from noon to 2 p.m. daily. Be sure to call ahead to dine-in and make a reservation for larger groups.

Guests are invited to pamper themselves at the spa, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., by appointment only. Try one of The Spa at SageCliff’s one-hour services, like a custom massage or facial, and feel the worries of life melt away. Spend the day swimming and lounging at the refreshing heated pool, which has food/beverage service available on the weekends during the open season. Want to explore the property? Take out a complimentary cruiser or electric bike and make your way to the horseshoe pit, bocce ball court or explore hiking trails. Wine lovers, check out the resort’s neighbor, Cave B Estate Winery. Take note of its impressive vineyard and the vast variety of grapes that thrive up high on the cliffs above the river.
