Located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Wildwood Spirits Co. has officially opened the doors to its new distillery and tasting room. The concept is brought to fruition by renowned Seattle restaurateur John Howie alongside master distiller and company wine director for the John Howie Restaurant Group, Erik Liedholm.
From carefully selected grains to meticulous aging processes, every step in the production is a testament to the craftsmanship that defines Wildwood Spirits Co. Sourcing the majority of ingredients from local farms and crops sets Wildwood apart from other small-batch distillers. The distillery’s signature spirits showcase a fusion of classic recipes and innovative twists, appealing to both seasoned connoisseurs and those new to the world of premium beverages.
Upon visiting the newly opened Ballard location, visitors can embark on guided tours through the distillation process, gaining insights into the artistry behind each bottle. The tasting room invites guests to sip and savor the diverse flavor profiles by sampling the in-house flights for $10 per person. Each flight includes one spirit from the Wildwood clear lineup, one whiskey and one sample from The Dark Door distinctive barrel series. Indulge in a variety of $20 cocktails, including the Old Fashioned poured with The Dark Door bourbon, simple syrup and aromatic bitters. Gin lovers will want to try the refreshing Wildwood Negroni, made with Kur gin, Campari and sweet vermouth.
The distillery’s 830 club is currently accepting members, quintessential for those filled with passion and dedication to the art of distilling. With a $200 annual membership fee, you’ll receive exclusive 25 percent off pricing, three bottles of award-winning Wildwood Spirits annually, rare library offers and member-only releases.
