Next Level Burger, America’s first 100 percent plant-based burger joint, has made its grand entrance to Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.
Owners Matt and Cierra De Gruyter saw a demand for clean, sustainable eating in the “fast-food” market and so began the concept of an entirely plant-based, non-GMO and organically sourced food chain. With locations on both the West and East Coast, Next Level Burger is paving the way for an entire community of plant-based foodies.
Kicking off with a stellar grand opening in January, the Ballard-based eatery has been the new hot spot for even non-plant-based burger lovers. The American “ChzBurger” comprises a smash patty, organic tempeh bacon, organic dill pickles, tomato and lettuce, choice of cheese and house-made special sauce, served on an organic bun. Accompanied by an order of French fries or tater tots tossed in a secret house-made organic seasoning, this juicy and savory burger will really hit the spot.
Diners can also select from Beyond burger patties, chik’n, a black bean patty or even a hand-crafted organic quinoa and mushroom patty. There is also a variety of non-burger options like the spicy Southwest salad, tossed with ghost pepper ranch, tempeh bacon, guacamole, pickled jalapenos, tomatoes and red onion (all organic) on a bed of organic lettuce.
Another favorite are the Next Level nuggets, available in a quantity of five, eight, 12 or 20. These chik’n nuggets are great alongside one of the in-house sauces, with over a dozen options for dipping that you can mix and match. Wash this all down with a mouthwatering shake, crafted with organic soy or organic coconut soft serve, from classic vanilla or strawberry to its famous peanut butter cup hand spun with organic peanut butter and dark chocolate chips.
