It’s always a relief to find a vegan alternative to your favorite comfort foods. Thankfully, Seattle’s Ballard area will soon be home to one of America’s first 100 percent plant-based burger joints. The 10th site of Next Level Burger will make its delicious debut in early December, and a grand opening celebration is in store.
Right now, Next Level Burger is all the rage, and for good reason! The goal of Next Level Burger is to combat climate change by providing burgers for a better future. Dedication to tackling climate change also means that every item on the menu is made using ingredients that are responsibly sourced, non-GMO and organic. By redefining the classic American burger, Next Level Burger sparked national intrigue and has since garnered plenty of accolades from customers and critics alike.
The vegan burger restaurant started in Oregon in 2014 and has since expanded throughout the country. Following the success of its Roosevelt store within Whole Foods, this will be Next Level Burger’s second shop in Seattle. With bright colors and cozy, sustainable wood in the 1,800-sq.-ft. dining room and extra patio seating outdoors, the Ballard location offers a comfortable place for customers to enjoy an enhanced fast-food experience.

Thrillist, VegNews and many other publications have praised Next Level’s burgers, which come in several scrumptious varieties. The show-stopping Signature Burger is made with a house-made organic mushroom and quinoa patty, organic avocado, “cheese” and roasted garlic-thyme mayo. The Maverick Burger comes with a house-seasoned Beyond Burger patty, crispy onion rings, organic tempeh bacon, organic dill pickles, hickory BBQ and house-made special sauce. And if your mouth isn’t watering yet, the Chipotle Burger boasts a black bean and veggie patty, organic guacamole, pickled jalapeños and chipotle mayo.
With a variety of patties, buns, cheese options and topping selections, Next Level Burger takes pride in its crave-worthy and highly customizable menu. The joint also jazzes things up with Crispy Chik’n sandwiches and tender baskets, not to mention the organic fries can be made even more delicious with chili “cheese,” beer “cheese” and fiery hot toppings. And it only gets sweeter from there, as shakes are available in a variety of decadent flavors. Hand-spun with organic, home-made soy or coconut soft-serve ice cream, guests can indulge in a ridiculously good cookies n’ cream shake with homemade gluten-free chocolate cookies or a silky strawberry shake, of course, made with organic strawberries.
Next Level Burger will be open for lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
