All October: BOO-CODA Spook-Tacular

Olympia

Bucoda is known as the “World’s Tiniest Town with the Biggest Halloween Spirit,” and it is showcasing that spirit during the month-long BOO-CODA Spook-Tacular. Among other exciting Halloween activities and events, BOO-CODA Spook-Tacular is home of one of the best haunted houses in Washington every Friday and Saturday night. Come Oct. 7, the town hosts Family Fun Day Harvest Festival; Oct. 21 brings the Haunted Market with Food and Art, Crafts and Commercial Vendors; and much more.

Oct. 19 to Oct. 22 and Oct. 26 to Oct. 29: Seattle Chocolate Haunted Factory Tour

Offering fun for ages “8 to 100,” Seattle Chocolate Haunted Factory Tour offers a sweet and spooky way to ring in the fall season. What could be scarier than a chocolate factory that has lost its power and, thus, all of its chocolate?! Tours start at 5 p.m.
Cost: $15 for adults and $12 for kids 12 and under.

Oct. 21: Treats and Tails

Fido can come along for this Halloween event in Washington! From noon to 2 p.m., Treats and Tails is fun for kids and pets at Blakely Hall and the Village Green Park in the Issaquah Highlands urban village. Be sure to bring a bag to collect your goodies!

Oct. 28: HOWL-O-WEEN at Cougar Mountain Zoo

From 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cougar Mountain Zoo, ghoulish HOWL-O-WEEN guests can take part in a costume contest, scavenger hunt and themed enrichment.

Oct. 28: Monster Mash 5K and Fun Run

Issaquah

Kick off Halloweekend with a little sweat sesh for the whole family. The Monster Mash 5K and Fun Run, which benefits Issaquah Schools Foundation, is set for 10 a.m. at the Lake Sammamish State Park Boat Launch. Don a family-friendly costume (there will be a gift card raffle for festively dressed runners!) and soak in the crisp fall air throughout this professional chip-timed 5K route–all for a good cause.
Cost: $40 registration fee. Registrations received by Oct. 10 receive a T-shirt and medal.

Oct. 28: Zombie Walk

Issaquah

Attention, zombies: You’re invited to gather at the historic Shell Station on Front Street in Downtown Issaquah at 1 p.m. and slither your way to City Hall for a Zombie Walk. The finale of this adored Issaquah tradition will be a Thriller flashmob. The event ends at 5 p.m., with a Wine and Art Walk taking place shortly after.

Oct. 28: Monster Mash

Olympia

This spooky Halloween event in Washington is hosted at J&S Barn and Farmhouse and hosts a slew of kid-friendly activities. Ghosts and goblins of all ages can enjoy indoor trick-or-treating, a pumpkin-painting contest, a costume contest and more during the day (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at Monster Mash. At night (6 to 11 p.m.), adults get to have all the fun with a dance party and live entertainment with festive food and drinks.

Oct. 29: The Museum of Fright

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 29, The Museum of Flight transforms into the Museum of Fright just in time for Halloweekend. Come dressed up in your costume and enjoy Halloween-themed games and activities to spark imagination and get in the spirit of the season.
Cost: Free to attend with purchase of museum admission. Kids 17 and under wearing a costume will receive free museum admission for the day.

Oct. 29: Boo at the Barn

From 5 to 9 p.m. at the historic Pickering Barn, families are invited to gather for old-fashioned Halloween fun during Boo at the Barn, including a costume contest (for prizes!), carnival games, food trucks and haunted trail and market vendors.
