G.H. Pasta & Pizza West Seattle Restaurant

Just opened last month, G.H. Pasta & Pizza is a new restaurant in West Seattle from Chef Brian Clevenger and General Harvest restaurant group. The restaurant serves up pizzas, house-extruded pastas, a variety of starters, desserts and craft cocktails.

This cozy restaurant–which marks General Harvest’s sixth Seattle concept–has indoor seating for up to 40 guests, and an expansive heated patio that is open year-round and can accommodate up to 75 people. The indoor space is bright and airy, with a colorful bar lining one side of the restaurant. The atmosphere at G.H. Pasta & Pizza is lively and perfect for a dinner out with friends or a romantic date night.

The stars of the show are definitely the pizzas and house-extruded pastas. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the tonnarelli with truffle butter, the spaghetti with beef and pork bolognese, and the fusilli with winter squash, fennel pollen and fontina are some of the most popular pasta dishes. Favorite pizzas include the classic with pepperoni, the “Fun Guy” with wild mushrooms, thyme and fontina, as well as the “Love It or Hate It” with guanciale, pineapple, and pickled jalapeno.

G.H. Pasta & Pizza serves a delicious array of starters, including the garlic focaccia with butter and chives, house-made mozzarella with Castelvetrano tapenade and oven-roasted clams with pickled fresno chili. There are also plenty of classics like the arancini (fried risotto), beef and pork meatballs, and Caesar salad.

For those who like to imbibe, G.H. Pasta & Pizza has a fantastic selection of craft cocktails that rotate often. Try an Italian classic cocktail like the Negroni Sbagliato or Limoncello Spritz. The house specialty cocktails are great as well, including the Amalfi Coast that comes with gin, pineapple amaro and vermouth and is aged in a coconut! G.H. Pasta & Pizza also offers an impressive selection of local beers and ciders, Italian wines and N/A cocktails.

Dinner isn’t complete without something sweet, and the desserts at G.H. Pasta & Pizza are sure to impress. The tiramisu is so creamy, and the yeasted doughnut with chocolate sauce is amazing as well. There is also a daily rotating flavor of soft serve–yum!

G.H. Pasta & Pizza is open for dinner Monday to Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, from 4 to 10 p.m. The restaurant offers a fabulous daily happy hour which includes $4 garlic bread, $2 fried oysters, $13 pastas, $14 half pizzas, and select cocktails and wines by the glass for $10.
