Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival
April 16 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Part of the Seattle Center Festál series, guests can ring in springtime at the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival at the Seattle Center on April 14 to 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival aims to foster mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Japan and the Pacific Northwest. In order to do so, the event offers martial arts demonstrations, traditional tea ceremonies, kimono dress-up, children’s activities, koto music, taiko drumming and so much more.
The celebration was inspired by Japan’s previous Prime Minister, Takeo Miki, who donated 1,000 cherry trees to Seattle to mark America’s bicentennial and the two countries’ enduring friendship. Now, cherry blossom viewing is a reminder to celebrate life. So be sure to check out the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival to learn more about the stunning cherry blossom trees that bring color and cheer to Seattle every year.
