Ballard SeafoodFest is celebrating 50 years of tradition as north Seattle’s largest and longest running free festival celebrating seafood, craft beer, cocktails and live music. The event runs from July 12 to July 14 in Downtown Ballard.
There are many local standouts in this year’s music lineup, as well as some stellar national sensations. The 2024 festival headliner is Rubblebucket, performing on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Ballard SeafoodFest began as a neighborhood salmon barbeque and continues to celebrate the rich history and character of Ballard while growing each year. The festival will open with Friday evening’s free all-ages concert featuring Seattle’s favorite 80s cover band, Nite Wave and #All4Doras. For those 21 years and older, the SeafoodFest Beer + Cocktail Garden also opens on Friday evening and several food trucks will be available for all ages.
The fun continues Saturday and Sunday with the full assortment of food vendors, beverages and activities. In addition to the SeafoodFest MainStage musical performances, the Illumination Learning Studio Kids’ Deck will take over Ballard Commons Park. Festi-Bowl, an all-ages all-skill levels skateboarding competition, will take over the Ballard Commons skateboard bowl. The Beer + Cocktail Garden will feature locally crafted beers, ciders, wine and cocktails. There will be dozens of hand-crafted arts and crafts vendors; seafood-inspired food vendors; the Lutefisk Eating Competition which promises to disgust and delight; and as always, the famous Trident Seafoods sponsored Alder-Smoked Salmon Barbeque that started it all 50 years ago.
