Fonté Coffee Roaster, the finest independent coffee roaster in the Pacific Northwest, has opened up a coffee and cocktail bar in Rainier Square: The Fonté Bar. This is a spot where friends can gather for weekend brunch, a lunch break from shopping or dinner and drinks before a show at the 5th Avenue Theatre, all in the same space.
Fonté’s newest location has a convenient on-site parking garage, taking the guesswork out of trying to park downtown. Take the elevator to the second floor, walk through the lobby, and enjoy the gorgeous space, which manages to look both vintage and modern at once. And make sure to snag a spot on the rooftop patio while the weather permits!
Designed as a coffee shop by day and a cocktail bar by night, The Fonté Bar offers a versatile menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Choose from grab-and-go items at the counter if you’re in a hurry, or take a seat if you have time for full service.
This is not a place that skimps on the menu — here, you can get a Seattle Lunch Steak, a remarkable brie, ham and apple sandwich or a brisket-blend burger with duck fat fries at noon (not to mention an array of soups and salads for lighter eaters). The dinner menu has some of the same options, with plenty of additional options like saffron-lobster risotto and duck carbonara. The menu will likely change seasonally, but you’ll always find plenty of PNW classics to enjoy.
And let’s not forget the coffee. Fonté was created with a true passion for roasting some of the best coffees in the world, and you can taste the quality with every smooth sip.
