Tacoma and Seattle Restaurant Weeks

Washington is gearing up for two foodie-focused spring experiences, kicking off April 14: Tacoma Restaurant Week and Seattle Restaurant Week. The culinary celebrations showcase each city’s local food scene with curated menus and discounted plates, allowing diners to discover their new favorite restaurants while supporting local businesses.

April 14 to April 18 and April 21 to April 25: Spring Tacoma Restaurant Week

Taking place for select weeks in April (April 14 to April 18 and April 21 to April 25), Spring Tacoma Restaurant Week has returned with some of the best dining deals in town. During this Washington restaurant week, diners can expect prix-fixe menus highlighting the best of each restaurant’s offerings. These include plates from Adriatic Grill at Oakbrook, Copper and Salt Northwest, El Gaucho Tacoma, Farrelli’s Pizza Point Ruston, Lobster Shop, Melting Pot Tacoma, Poquitos Mexican, Stanley & Seafort’s and WildFin American Grill. El Gaucho Tacoma, for example, will be boasting a three-course menu, with fixings including your choice of spring salad or Insane Truffle Soup; your choice of a 6-oz. top sirloin, grilled prawn pasta or oven-roasted cauliflower; and for dessert, your choice of key lime pie or a seasonal sorbet.

Beyond the delectable dishes, Tacoma Restaurant Week also provides a unique opportunity to support local businesses and chefs who are passionate about showcasing the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. By patronizing participating restaurants, diners not only enjoy a vibrant culinary experience but also contribute to the vibrancy of Tacoma’s culinary landscape. This sense of community and pride in supporting local businesses adds a special flavor to the dining experiences. For more information, visit tacomarestaurantweek.com.

April 14 to April 27: Seattle Restaurant Week

Seattle Restaurant Week will return on April 14 and run until April 27, with two consecutive weeks of indulgent fare. This Washington restaurant week is famous in the state, with the city hailing as the culinary capital of the Pacific Northwest. Seattle Restaurant Week features an extensive lineup of participating restaurants, ranging from cozy neighborhood eateries to upscale dining destinations. Diners can explore various cuisines, from farm-to-table fare highlighting the region’s abundant produce to international flavors reflecting Seattle’s cultural diversity (these include over 100 dining destinations!). One of the hallmarks of Seattle Restaurant Week is its emphasis on accessibility, with participating restaurants offering prix-fixe menus at affordable prices. This accessibility encourages diners to leave their culinary comfort zones and discover new favorites while supporting local businesses. These curated menus are $20, $35, $50 and $65.

Aerlume, for example, will showcase the work of Executive Chef Douglas Jones with three courses. This dinner series highlights items like marinated beets, whiskey-cured pork loin, surf and turf and a house chocolate crunch bar. For more information, visit srweek.org.
