“Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland” Coming to Seattle

Get ready to go mad! “Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland” is coming to the Triple Door in Seattle from Sept. 21 to Sept. 25.

This limited-time burlesque show features top-notch dance talent, exciting choreography by the classically-trained Lily Verlaine, and an original musical score by Jasper McCann, Kate Olson, Michael Owcharuk and James Chapple, performed live by a jazz-rock sextet, The Aces & 8’s.

Inspired by the music of the mid-1960’s, the arrangements for “Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland” set the mood for dance performances that combine classical ballet and jazz with bawdy burlesque beauty.

Come along with Alice as she discovers what wonders lie beyond the velvet rope at Wonderland’s most exclusive nightclub, The Looking Glass, and tries to best the menacing Queen of Hearts to become the next Queen of Wonderland.

The superstars of Seattle’s Burlesque A-List take on the roles of Lewis Carroll’s famous characters and turn Wonderland’s topsy-turvy world into an ecdysiast tour-de-force filled with glamour, comedy, dance, striptease and song.

A vibrant new group of talented artists join the ensemble this year, including Broadway veteran Scott Willis, former PNB soloist Josh Grant, former Ballet de Monte Carlo principal dancer Stephan Bourgond, and the stunning Las Vegas showgirl-ballerina, Laurel Bordeaux.

Tickets are on sale now for $45 to $70. For more information on “Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland,” visit www.verlaineandmccann.com.
