March 11: Luck of the Irish Fest

Tacoma

A free, family-friendly celebration is taking place at the Luck of the Irish Fest in Tacoma’s Freighthouse Square. The free event will feature food, art vendors, costume contests, fairies and even leprechauns dancing the day away with live Celtic music. The fest will run from noon to 5 p.m., and be sure to stop by the shamrock photo booth for a few souvenirs before heading home.

March 11: The 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Bremerton

Back for its 29th year celebrating St. Patty’s Day in Bremerton, The 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the most family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day events in Washington with a variety of fun for everyone in your group. While adults grab a drink on the pub crawl or catch the parade, little ones can enjoy a chocolate gold coin hunt, an Irish history exhibit and a fun run. The main event, the parade spectacular, will take place at 11 a.m. on Pacific Avenue.

March 12: St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake Decorating 

Bonney Lake

In honor of the holiday, Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop at Bonney Lake is offering a special cupcake-decorating class to help prepare you for your bash at home. The course, led by pastry chef Stephanie Cunningham, is welcome to those 12 and up and is friendly to all levels. Cunningham will teach how to create the perfect buttercream icing, in addition to simple techniques to create the sweetest St. Patty’s cupcakes. The class is schedule for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Dash

March 13: The St. Patrick’s Day Dash

Seattle

On Sunday, March 13, at the Seattle Center, the St. Patrick’s Day Dash is a 5K run that has become an annual tradition in the city for the past 38 years. Though the event focuses on the marathon, there is fun for everyone in attendance, including your little ones, who can participate in the leprechaun dash for free, enjoy live music, food and much more.

March 16: Run Lucky St. Patrick’s Day 5/10K

Seattle

If you are looking for a healthier way to celebrate the luckiest day of the year, grab your favorite green clothes and register for the Run Lucky St. Patrick’s Day 5/10K. The run will take place around North Lake on the Brooks Trailhead, and runners will have a chance to win a pair of Brooks shoes and enjoy an after-party with light bites and sips. There are two runs to participate in, including a 5K and 10K. Run Lucky St. Patrick’s Day 5/10K is a free event for all ages. Registration before the event is required.

March 16 to March 18: Bainbridge Island St. Patrick’s Festival

In collaboration with Pleasant Beach Village and Historic Lynwood Theatre, the Bainbridge Island St. Patrick’s Festival takes place March 16 to March 18 at 7 p.m. Each night will feature a live Irish band, including The Gothard Sisters on March 16, SeaStar on March 17 and Kara Hesse on March 18. In addition to concerts, visitors can enjoy a variety of Irish drinks, food and activities for everyone in the group.

Woodinville

Long Cellars in Woodinville is transforming from a winery to a pub to celebrate the luck of the Irish with an Irish-themed trivia night. The fun will occur on Friday, March 17, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with award-winning wine sips, Irish beer, prizes for winners and light bites. The event is for those 21-plus.

March 17 to March 18: Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl

Seattle

The sixth-annual Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl will take place on Friday, March 17, and run until Saturday, March 18. The crawl will start at Stage Seattle and will feature two full days of exclusive drink specials, free shots, food specials, a St. Patty’s private bash and a professional photographer to capture it all. Participating bars include Stage Seattle, COWGIRLS INC., Flatstick Pub, King Street Bar & Oven and more.

March 17 to March 19: Kiss Me, I’m Irish: Seattle St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

Everyone can agree that a St. Patrick’s Day bash is not complete without a drink (or two) in hand, so in honor of the Irish go-to sip, Shawn O’Donnell’s Irish Pub is hosting a Kiss Me, I’m Irish Bar Crawl. The St. Patrick’s Day event in Washington will be hosted on Friday, March 17, and Sunday, March 19, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Each event, although separate, will feature discounted drinks and fare from your favorite local bars and allow you the fun opportunity to meet new people in your city who will celebrate with you in style.
