Seattle International Dance Festival

Returning for its 16th season, the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF) is back–and after a year of virtual performances–will be held live and in person at a reduced capacity starting June 12 and running through June 19.

The festival will feature more than 25 local dance organizations and 80-plus dancers including Khambatta Dance Company, Spectrum Dance, Yaw Theater and much more. SIDF focuses on the celebration and art of contemporary dance and the recognition of the organizations that enrich our northwest region with six different performances showcased by each dance company.

“What a year it has been! We are thrilled to see this festival be remounted, bringing — what for the dance community is — essential live dance back to Seattle,” says Cyrus Khambatta, SIDF artistic director. “This festival is full of incredible dancers bursting with creativity and energy after a year of absence. Audiences can look forward to seeing a variety of contemporary dance styles represented by a diverse cast of dancers.”

The dance festivities will take place at Broadway Performance Hall on Capitol Hill. General admission is $25; $18 for those 25 and under. A two-show pass is $40, an All-Festival Pass is $85 and a Premium Festival Pass is $135, which includes a premium seating section and bottled water. Plus, SIDF 2021 will also feature a live-streamed virtual option for audiences.
