Seasons at Semiahmoo: Fall Fest

If the crispy marine air that fills the atmosphere around Blaine’s Semiahmoo Resort isn’t enough of a kickstart to autumn, you’ll definitely be celebrating with hot cider, beach bonfires and more during Seasons at Semiahmoo: Fall Fest.

During the month of October, the oceanfront property of Semiahmoo Resort is one of the top spots to savor fall in Washington State. Daily, families can gather around for pumpkin painting (grab a complimentary tiny pumpkin from the Semiahmoo Pumpkin Patch), arts-and-crafts and even hot cider happy hour. Weather permitting, guests can stop by the front desk for a complimentary s’mores kit to enjoy alongside a beach bonfire.

For more of a Halloween-inspired experience, during Fireside Frights on Saturdays at 6 p.m., guests gather ’round the bonfire as locals tell spooky stories. On Friday and Saturday evenings at 6 p.m., head to the Discovery Theater for kid-friendly flicks, then pop in at 9 p.m. for movies intended for the PG-13 (and older) set.

During Halloween weekend, guests can explore the Semiahmoo grounds to find trick-or-treating stations and, on Oct. 30, take part in two different holiday movie nights. At 6 p.m., enjoy popcorn, face painting, a costume contest and photo booth access, alongside a showing of festive favorite “Hocus Pocus.” At 9 p.m., those 21-plus can sing along to “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” during an interactive movie experience with a themed welcome drink.

Plus, to get in the true holiday spirit, don your favorite Halloween attire and post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #SemiahBOO for a chance to win a two-night stay at Semiahmoo.
