Five Iron Golf Opens in Seattle

Five Iron Golf has opened its first West Coast location in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The indoor golf and entertainment experience, which is backed by Seattle’s own Macklemore, has 10 locations nationwide.

Macklemore, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, inspired Five Iron Golf to open the Seattle location. “It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played golf before or if you’re a scratch golfer, Five Iron’s mission is all about getting more people involved in the game. I love having them in my city, and I’m excited to work with the team to grow the game,” says co-owner Haggerty, in a press release.

Five Iron Golf Seattle comes in at just less than 12,000 square feet inside of WeWork Capitol Hill. It has 12 custom-built simulators–each with its own lounge area, high-speed cameras to capture every angle of the golf swing, complimentary use of the highest-quality clubs, flat-screen TVs and more. The venue also has a full-service restaurant and bar serving seasonal fare.

Design-wise, Five Iron Golf offers a multisensory interior through the blending of graffiti, murals by local artists like John Osgood, neon signs and modern lounge furniture.
