Bainbridge Creative District to Open in September

After an exciting ribbon ceremony in early July, Arts & Humanities Bainbridge announces the launch of the Bainbridge Creative District, taking place in September and marking the 11th creative district in Washington state.

The new Bainbridge Creative District will be roughly two square miles of art and cultural activities with an abundance of fun for visitors to enjoy, like the island’s First Friday Art Walk, the Moonlight Market, theater shows, museums, art galleries, artisan shops and a multitude of food and drink experiences. The new destination will provide the area with new job opportunities and drive sustainable tourism, boosting the Bainbridge Island‘s economic growth.

“The true power of this special designation is the ability to market our island’s exciting arts community as an incredible destination for our neighbors, other Washingtonians and visitors from throughout the US,” says AHB Executive Director Inez Maubane Jones in a press release. “It is an economic benefit that lifts the whole island.”

Locals can expect the launch and grand opening in September, with a grand opening party with community members encouraged to attend and enjoy the new enriching experiences.
