Air Tahiti Nui Now Offering Direct Seattle Flights

The largest island in French Polynesia, Tahiti, is a highly sought-after vacation spot because of its lush lagoons and beautiful black-sand beaches. As of recently, Air Tahiti Nui has launched its first non-stop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Papeete, Tahiti, making reaching the islands much easier.

Air Tahiti Nui is the first and only airline to offer direct flights linking the South Pacific and the Pacific Northwest thanks to a new collaboration with Alaska Airlines. This dream team is taking flight when it comes to providing top-tier transportation. With base rates beginning at $769, the new route will run twice weekly on the 787-9 Dreamliner. The airline pledges to uphold the highest levels of service excellence and safety to give its customers the best possible travel experience. The 9.5-hour trip is all-inclusive and includes food, beverages and amenities in every cabin.

“Our new route provides a chance for North American travelers to discover the beauty of the 118 islands of Tahiti, including Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea and Rangiroa, which serve as the backdrop to the many wonders to discover, landscapes to explore, and memories to create,” says Michel Monvoisin, CEO of Air Tahiti Nui in a press release.

In addition, nearly 100 locations in North America are now accessible from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This achievement has been made possible by the codeshare agreement between Air Tahiti Nui and Alaska Airlines. The alliance also provides quick and flexible travel options between several major locations, including Vancouver, Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York City and the Tahiti Islands. The two airlines’ frequent flyer programs will also be combined, enabling customers to stock up and use miles on all code-shared flights. This means fewer complications and more vacations in the future.

“Just as the weather begins to turn in the Pacific Northwest, our guests can now chase the warm sun all the way to Tahiti with a convenient nonstop flight from Seattle on Air Tahiti Nui,” says Nat Pieper, senior vice president of fleet, finance and alliances at Alaska Airlines in a press release. “Air Tahiti Nui is a terrific new global airline partner for us, further connecting the West Coast to the South Pacific with world-class service and amenities on their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner planes. With so much beauty, Tahiti is truly an aspirational destination.”

The welcoming grins of the airline staff and the coziness of the cabins, which mirror the stunning blue colors of the lagoon, transport the passengers to Tahiti from the minute they step onboard. These small yet meaningful details are expressions of the warmth and genuineness of the Polynesian welcome.
