Seattle Kraken to Play First Home Game

Rising from the deep ocean of Seattle’s Port, the Seattle Kraken is making an untamed splash in Washington State at the brand-new Climate Pledge Arena. The newest addition to the NHL, the Kraken bring a fierce team to the ice that will make all opponents who enter their waters abandon all hope.

The hockey team is in full force, having just won a game, and is bringing its opponents into its uncharted waters for the first time for a home game at the brand new Climate Pledge Arena–the Kraken lair–which opens Oct. 22 in Seattle.

With a commitment to taking action against climate change, Climate Pledge is the most progressive arena in all of the US, and uses zero fossil fuels, zero plastic, has zero waste and implements using solar panels and conserving water in hopes of bettering the planet and becoming net-zero carbon by 2040.

The Seattle Kraken game will take place on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. against the Vancouver Canucks, with tickets starting at $375 each. The Climate Pledge Arena requires a vaccination card upon entry to protect all visitors. If you can’t make it in person, you can catch the game live with streaming services such as Hulu, CBC, CITY and more.
