Lakeside Surf, a larger-than-life surf facility, is now open at Lake Chelan. On its heels, Slidewaters Waterpark will open after a year-long hiatus next door to Lakeside Surf on May 29.
Lakeside Surf, which will allow water lovers to surf the world’s largest stationary wave, is currently booking for surf sessions now. The highly anticipated opening has been pushed back multiple times, most recently due to the global pandemic. Lakeside Surf offers food and beverage, a retail surf shop, sand volleyball, lockers, restroom/changing rooms, private VIP space, a surfer hot tub and a 16-meter Citywave. Citywave is a next-generation wave pool that guarantees a wave of up to 6 feet and over 54 feet wide.
Next door to Lakeside Surf is Slidewaters, a family-friendly outdoor waterpark that has been a Lake Chelan favorite for 40 years.
Both Slidewaters and Lakeside Surf will be following the Washington State Department of Health Guidance for water recreation facilities. This guidance includes, but is not limited to; capacity restraints, physical distancing requirements and face covering guidelines.
