“Before Hamilton, before In the Heights, there was Freestyle Love Supreme.” The Grammy-nominated and 2020 Special Tony Award-winner “Freestyle Love Supreme” will be bringing its show right from Broadway to the Bagley Wright Theater in Seattle from Feb. 16 to March 13.
Fabulous People: Arianne True
Seattle native Arianne True is a poet and folk artist, who is currently the Seattle Rep 2021-22 Native Artist-in-Residence. “I make poems, right now mostly experimental ones, and I also teach and mentor youth poets through a handful of different programs.”
Seattle Rep Announces New Season
Seattle Rep is back this December with in-person performances, live theater experiences and hybrid films. The season will run from December 2021 to June 2022 at the newly remodeled Bagley Wright Theater and the Leo K. Theater.
Fabulous People: Justin Huertas
Justin Huertas is a talented Seattle-based playwright, composer, lyricist, actor and musician and writer of the new musical, Lydia at the Troll, based on his fictional origin story of the Fremont Troll. Via Seattle Rep’s Plays in Process, a behind-the-scenes showcase of the musical is being presented on June 3 virtually.
