Auction of Washington Wines Event Series

Auction of Washington Wines (AWW), a Seattle-based nonprofit that advances awareness of the Washington wine industry, has announced its 2021 event series, featuring both virtual and intimate in-person opportunities. In addition to championing the Washington wine industry, the series will also support Seattle Children’s and the WSU Viticulture and Enology program.

April 19 to April 20: Private Barrel Auction

The virtual Private Barrel Auction for the trade will host 30 wineries offering five-case lots for exclusive ownership.

May 18 to May 23: Wine & Music Week

The AWW Wine & Music Week will take place online and in Washington wine country. The week will kick off with a virtual concert, with additional performances taking place throughout the week. An online auction offers more than 100 bottle lots as well as regional wine and travel experiences. AWW will also host small wine country dinners–as permitted by current safety restrictions–Fiction@J. Bookwalter Wine and Hightower Cellars Vineyard.

August 10 to August 16: Online Auction

The Online “Silent” Auction will feature more than 150 auction lots from Washington wineries, featuring exclusive bottles, wine travel and culinary and wine experiences.

August 14: Virtual Gala

The Virtual Gala will feature up to 20 one-of-a-kind live auction lots. Supporters may bring the gala home by purchasing Gala-in-a-Box dinners from local chefs or special Washington wine bundles. New for the 2021 event series, AWW is offering mini-gala dinners. Luxury winemaker multi-course dinners will be held at four Seattle-Woodinville area wineries and follow all social distancing and safety regulations. Each location will have select live auction lots, exclusive tastings and surprises.
