Tinte Cellars

Tinte Cellars is a family-owned Washington winery that entwines a passion for winemaking with love for community. The winery has two Woodinville tasting rooms and a third tasting room in Seattle’s historic Georgetown neighborhood.

Tinte Cellars was launched in 2018 by co-owners and husband-and-wife team, Tim Gamble and Teresa Spellman Gamble. Tim and Teresa had a vision of producing great wine for the greater good. Today, their goal of crafting world-class wines and generously giving back to the community is being realized, as Tinte bridges philanthropy with operation of a premium Washington State winery producing award-winning wines. Tinte currently partners with the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.

The winery produces approximately 4,000 cases of wine each year, all from Washington State grapes. They use grapes from renowned vineyards like Red Mountain, White Bluffs and Columbia Valley and currently offer a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Malbec, a GSM blend called Irish Eyes Red Wine, a Syrah and Bishops Blend, a blend of Bordeaux grapes. In the warmer months, the winery offers Viognier, Rose of Counoise and Sauvignon Blanc.

We recently visited the Georgetown tasting room and had the pleasure of doing a tasting flight full of bold red wines. The wines pair perfectly with the small bites that Tinte Cellars has to offer, like the cheese and charcuterie board that includes Beecher’s cheese and local meats, nuts and jams. Tinte also serves salads and handmade artisan flatbreads—the flatbread with prosciutto and caramelized onion is a must-try! Another fun experience that the tasting room offers is a cookie and wine pairing. You can order cookies from Lowrider Cookie Company and a bottle of wine to pair with them. Delicious!

For live music fans, Tinte Tunes takes place every Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Georgetown tasting room, where there is a different artist each week and all-day wine and food specials. Tinte Cellars also hosts blind virtual wine tastings that include one mystery bottle and are led by a wine professional.

At Tinte Cellars, it is clear that the tasting experience is more than just about delicious wine. “It’s about creating occasions for people to come together and celebrate the best things in life.”

The Georgetown tasting room location is closed Monday and Tuesday and open 2 to 8 p.m. the remainder of the week (closing at 9 p.m. on Thursdays). For more information, visit tintecellars.com.
