RockCreek Seafood and Spirits Kirkland

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Washington, RockCreek Seafood and Spirits has opened its doors in the heart of Downtown Kirkland in the historic Webb Building. Owner and Executive Chef Eric Donnelly has brought a carefully curated menu to the Eastside alongside an extensive wine and spirits collection. The menu showcases a diverse selection of fresh seafood expertly prepared to highlight the flavors of Pacific Northwest cuisine. Whether you’re craving succulent crab, perfectly seared scallops or local fresh-caught oysters, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. Begin your meal with the heirloom cauliflower, a light and refreshing starter mixed with farro, pine nuts, Calabrian chili, celery, white balsamic and pecorino. It pairs well alongside any of the mouthwatering entrees or in addition to the shareable small plates, including the tender barbecued Spanish octopus. Packed with flavor, the octopus features fingerling potatoes, roasted tomatoes, olives, cannellini beans and a drizzle of olive oil.

For those looking to stay on the lighter side, an order of Japanese yellowtail hamachi crudo is a must, plated with bonito-sesame pickles and shiso leaf, finished off with a sweet onion vinaigrette. Sip and savor all the flavors with one of RockCreek’s signature cocktails, such as the French Nurse #2 poured with rose petal-infused vodka, Lillet, lychee, lime and agave. The revitalizing Sol Duc Spey is a gin-based cocktail shaken with Cardamaro, Campari, St-Germain, lime and mint.

What truly sets RockCreek Seafood and Spirits apart is its unwavering dedication to sustainability. The restaurant prides itself on forging strong partnerships with local fishermen and suppliers, ensuring that every ingredient is ethically sourced and of the highest quality. RockCreek’s “finish” portion of the menu is a culmination of true excellence: from the golden sear of the MSC-certified Chilean sea bass, cooked in sherry, lime, caramelized shallots, provencal herbs and crispy shallot, to the Neah Bay rockfish and shell stew featuring clams, mussels, prawns, octopus and basil in a tomato broth and served with bruschetta.

Whole-fish dishes and crustaceans among the many photo-worthy specialties at RockCreek, like the whole grilled Grecian branzino seasoned with Italian spices, pickled chilies, grilled lemon and herbs. Or the grilled whole Baja crimson snapper, topped with charred tomatillo salsa verde, cilantro and lime. Lastly is the roasted half Dungeness crab, served with basil-grilled bread. All are a superb course for those dining in a group or looking to elevate their meal.

End the evening with a classic espresso martini, made with Wheatley Vodka, espresso liqueur, cold brew, Drambuie, RockCreek’s signature Montenegro honey foam and cinnamon. The rich and decadent s’mores dessert is one for the books and includes Valrhona chocolate mousse, smoked meringue and graham tuile. For a more tangy option, the key lime pie is another showstopper served in a small jar with a graham cracker crust and topped with an in-house whipped cream.
