Restaurant of The Week: Heritage Restaurant | Bar

Located in the heart of Woodinville wine country, Heritage Restaurant | Bar offers a casual dining experience highlighting modern American dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

Walking through the front doors, I felt as though I had finally escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. The bright and charming interior left me excited for what the menu had in store. Each dish has been thoughtfully curated with the freshest of ingredients from neighboring farms. Chef and owner Breanna Beike is a Woodinville local dishing up her spin on modern American cuisine with fresh local produce while providing a warm environment for all who visit.

Need a sweet start to the weekend? Try Heritage for brunch where its fresh-baked bread accompanied by butter and homemade jam that does not disappoint. In need of a casual yet fine dining experience for date night or a family get-together? The restaurant has got that covered too!

Wine lovers, your haven awaits: the wine list at Heritage ranges from Adelaide Hills, Australia all the way to the Columbia Valley, allowing for the perfect pairing options for your meal. Refresh yourself on the patio with a mouthwatering glass of the Groom Sauvignon Blanc 2019 or kick things up a notch with the Rosemary’s Solution craft cocktail made with Tito’s vodka, sparkling wine, rosemary simple syrup and lemon (make it virgin by subbing the vodka and sparkling wine for soda water).

The portions here are excellent for sharing, allowing you to try a little bit of everything. For those craving some southern comfort, the Dungeness crab hushpuppies served with a lemon-dill crème fraîche are a true crowd pleaser. Dare to be adventurous? The foie gras torchon is a must, served with seasonal jams that Chef Bre has jarred herself along with frisée, aged sherry and crostini. The farro risotto is a surprisingly lighter dish that highlights local vegetables and is topped with a mascarpone cheese.

Whether you are a meat lover (the dry-aged boneless ribeye will truly melt in your mouth), seafood fanatic, gluten-free (the caramelized scallops served with a smoked jalapeño crema, black beans, cilantro, arugula and bell pepper do not disappoint) or a vegetarian, the menu offers a wide range of options that will leave you wanting more.

It won’t be easy but save room for the sweet and savory warmed salted caramel brownie sundae, dished up with vanilla butterscotch. Looking for something a little more tart? The key lime pie in a jar is adorable and will leave you licking your spoon.
