Restaurant of the Week: Feast

Modern French cuisine has made its way to Kirkland. Feast incorporates fresh ingredients from surrounding suppliers, giving the community a unique dining experience free from distractions and keeping customers focused on good food, drinks and great conversations.

Feast owners Chad and Jessi Waldher and general manager Justin Godsey wanted to highlight signature French food while also giving customers a sense of familiarity. The concept of the restaurant is French Brasserie and was designed by both Waldher and Godsey. Every design element has been carefully curated with inspiration taken from the stunning honey bee wallpaper that will catch your attention the moment you walk inside. As the city’s golden glow begins to fade, the mood shifts to a more elegant and intimate setting, perfect for a distraction-free date night or drinks with friends. (Sorry sports fans, no TV’s here!)

With a wide variety of dishes, there is something delicious for everyone. Vegans, there is even a hearty soup just for you. Full of flavor, the soupe aux lentilles is filled with green lentils, mirepoix, cumin, turmeric, thyme and cashew crema. This soup is the perfect choice on a cloudy Kirkland day! Or start with the moules frites, which are brought in fresh daily and perfect for sharing (pairs great with the Vanderghinste Oud Bruin Flanders sour red ale). For those in the mood for a sweet cocktail, try the Bubbles & Bergamot.

Best of all, Feast offers three courses for just $35. This is a wonderful option for those who are unfamiliar with French cuisine and might need a little more guidance on what to order. If you’re looking for a more casual experience but still want to try Feast, dine outdoors on the heated patio, which will give you a chance to sit alfresco in the heart of Park Lane while enjoying higher-end fare.

Feast is open Tuesday through Sunday at 4 p.m. For more information, visit feast-kirkland.com.
