Haerfest Seattle

Located in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant culinary scene lies a newcomer that is already making waves among food enthusiasts and locals alike. Executive chef and restaurateur Brian Clevenger has opened the doors to Haerfest, his latest venture in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Haerfest is quickly becoming a hotspot for those seeking a unique dining experience in the Emerald City, dishing up fresh handmade pasta, locally sourced seafood and fresh local vegetables, whilst seamlessly integrating flavors from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Upon stepping into Haerfest, patrons are greeted by a modern yet cozy atmosphere, where sleek decor mingles effortlessly with warm lighting. The restaurant’s design reflects the blending of traditional elements with a contemporary twist, similar to the diverse drink and dinner menu. From the creamy burrata served with prosciutto, grilled bread and mostarda to the Rockfish crudo plated with pickled spring onion, avocado, citrus and verjus, every dish on the menu is a testament to Chef Brian Clevenger’s creativity and dedication to culinary excellence.

One standout dish is the Tonnarelli, a freshly made pasta tossed with beef Bolognese sauce, sage and parmesan. This is an excellent dish to be shared between two or family-style alongside the ricotta gnocchi, which is served with pesto and pine nuts. Both dishes pair well with an order of the GH bread service featuring a variety of house-made bread accompanied by butter and honey. A seasonal favorite in the Pacific Northwest seafood scene is Copper River salmon, typically available from May to September. Haerfest is currently featuring this local-favorite fresh salmon with tarragon, butter, onion and turnip, combining flavors that pay homage to the area’s rich seafood heritage.

A dining experience at Haerfest would not be complete without exploring its selection of handcrafted cocktails and curated wine list. From refreshing libations like the Garden Party made with gin, maraschino liqueur, lime, basil, cucumber, rose water and topped off with soda, to expertly crafted martinis, a classic Aperol spritz or Italian wines, the bar offers something to suit every palate, further enhancing the overall dining experience. Conclude the evening with a succulent dessert such as the chocolate mousse cake or seasonal sorbet extracted from the season’s freshest fruits.
