Feb. 27 to March 6: Seattle Cocktail Week

Seattle Cocktail Week takes place Feb. 27 to March 6–and we’ll cheers to that! This week-long celebration spotlights the Emerald City’s top-notch cocktail scene, with master classes, seminars, pop-ups, brunches, bar takeovers, competitions and much more.

The finale of Seattle Cocktail Week is Cocktail District, a grand tasting event–a “carnival of cocktails”–with more than 200 spirts to try. Cocktail District takes place March 5 at Bell Harbor Conference Center, with two separate sessions and tickets start at $65.

In honor of this toast-worthy week, here are five cocktails from Seattle Cocktail Week participants that we’re especially excited to sip:

Lithium at Smith Tower Observatory Bar

Named after the Nirvana song and created by bartender Adam Harper, this cocktail from the Smith Tower Observatory Bar combines Xicaru Mezcal, Milagro Reposado, Dobel de Maestro, Szechuan peppercorn and brown sugar syrup, firewater and aromatic bitters.

Rose Colored Glasses at The Fireside Room at Hotel Sorrento

Sipping the Rose Colored Glasses (Singani 63, Aperol and Brovo Pink Vermouth) from Travis Sanders makes for an utterly swanky experience at The Fireside Room at Hotel Sorrento.

PNW Old Fashioned at Ben Paris at The State Hotel

Seeking a casual, lively spot during Seattle Cocktail Week? Grab a seat at Ben Paris at The State Hotel and savor the classic PNW Old Fashioned, with rye whiskey, stone pine liqueur and bitters.

Cereal Killer at Conversation at Thompson Seattle

For those who like their tipples on the sweet side, the Cereal Killer from Conversation at Thompson Seattle is a drool-worthy dream come true. It brings together house-made peanut butter cup Irish cream, Screwball whiskey, espresso and Cinnamon Toast Crunch whipped cream.

Basil Jalapeño Cooler at Poquitos

The Basil Jalapeño Cooler at Poquitos brings the heat, with Deep Eddy Lime Vodka, house-made basil-jalapeño syrup, lime and soda–the perfect partner to the restaurant’s authentic Mexican cuisine.

Also, note that many bars will be offering zero-proof cocktails during Seattle Cocktail week, as well.
