With last winter’s snow melting away and sunny days making their annual return, Pike Place Market has extended its patio for public seating daily from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. to help its guests soak up some rays.
The new spot features outdoor picnic benches and umbrellas lined down Pike Street to keep visitors comfortable, without too much direct sun exposure. The rest area will be the perfect place to relax and take a break from shopping or to enjoy a meal from one of Pike Place’s many eateries and dining options.
The seating rests directly under the iconic clock and sign, and highlights views of Puget Sound and Marketfront Deck, providing its visitors with dinner with a view. The rest area is available for a limited time and is open now through Sept. 7.
In addition to the new patio, Market Buskers will also be returning to Pike Place to provide live music and keep the energetic atmosphere in the plaza.
