Restaurant of The Week: Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen

Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen has made a name for itself in Kirkland dishing up authentic Thai street food favorites packed with flavor and heat. Now offering curbside and takeaway, you can enjoy all the comforts of this cuisine in your own home.

Start your meal at Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen with the green papaya salad (som-tum-thai). This tangy and refreshing palate cleanser–comprising green papaya pounded with peanuts, fish sauce, coconut sugar, garlic, long beans, tomatoes and fresh Thai chili–might even surprise you and is great for sharing. The lettuce wraps are another favorite for sharing, which come with crisp lettuce, wide rice noodles, marinated minced chicken and mushrooms accompanied by a spicy lime dressing. These make for a great appetizer or a lighter meal for one.

Once you work your way through the appetizers, be sure to save room for a foodie favorite, the Isarn fried rice. This dish is complete with chopped salted eggs, kale, deep-fried beef and served with a spicy ground roasted rice sauce. Looking for a kick? The Chu Chi red curry is a must try! This Thai homestyle curry is rich, creamy and delicious served over rice (check out the long list of protein options to add on). Whether you are looking for a noodle dish, curry or rice, you won’t be disappointed with the selections here.

Finish your meal with the mouthwatering mango sticky rice, which offered seasonally, sadly!

Located on Lake Street and just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Kirkland waterfront, Isarn is easily accessible whether you’re looking to order ahead online or in person. Something to note: All of the menu favorites can be made vegan or vegetarian by request to suit your dietary restrictions.
