Since its grand opening in Kirkland last summer, Hearth has been bringing a comforting dining experience for the whole neighborhood. From family pizza night, Sunday brunch or weekday happy hour, there is something for every traveler, near or far.
Take a stroll down Kirkland Avenue and you’re sure to notice the charm of The Heathman Hotel. Whether you are walking, biking or wanting to utilize the complimentary valet parking, its restaurant Hearth is easily accessible and located on the ground floor. With few sunny days this time of year in Western Washington, the covered, heated patio allows for an outdoor dining experience year-round. (The cozy couch with the fireplace table is my favorite!)
Cozy up with a craft cocktail like my choice, Lavender Fields Forever, while nibbling on Hearth’s “Breaking Bread” shareable loaded with soft bleu cheese, roasted garlic, fresh herbs and extra virgin olive oil on the signature wood-fired crust. Hearth has also put a brilliant twist on a comforting classic—cheddar cheese curds served with a tomato fondue. Don’t worry my dairy-free friends: the local heirloom tomato salad (without burrata) is also a delicious and fresh way to start your meal.
No time to dine in? Try Pie on the Fly. With this new pizza takeout option, you can create your own pizza to take and bake at home, making for a fun date-night activity or pizza-party fun for the kids.
Brunch is currently available at Hearth on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and I suggest making a reservation as tables often fill up quickly. The mouthwatering Dungeness crab benedict will not disappoint. If you’re looking for something sweet and savory to share (or not), the beignets are a delicious treat.
