Hometown: Indianapolis, Indiana.

First job: My first job was as a fry cook at a Wendy’s franchise.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WA: In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out and visiting some of the wonderful wineries here in Walla Walla.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment to date is the purchase of my home. I never in my wildest dreams imagined owning my own home, let alone one as beautiful as mine.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: The biggest obstacle I faced was the death of my father last March at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. It’s was tough to arrange services and support my mother and siblings from so far away. In the end, I was able to manage it all and my family is closer now than ever.

Someone who inspires you and why: I am deeply inspired by Alice Waters of Chez Panisse. Her approach to cooking made such a major impression on me a young cook. The meal I had at her restaurant remains the best meal of my life today. My rustic, natural look-style of food comes from her

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: For someone thinking of entering into the cooking game I would say make sure it’s something you truly love. It has to be a real passion. I would also suggest going out and trying all different types of cuisine. The possibilities are endless.

Favorite quote: My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou. “When I knew better, I did better.” This has been very true in my life before and now as well.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: Most folks would be surprised to know that I am an avid reader and genius flower arranger!

What makes someone fabulous: A person who has a zest for living, an artistic flair and the ability to navigate through the world with grace and compassion.
