How did your love story begin? We met for the first time at Can Can in 2005 at an audition where we became friends for a few years before we both found ourselves single. We happened to hang out outside of our work environment for the first time on Valentine’s Day and decided we had mutual crushes on one another. We continued to date for the next few years before getting married and having two amazing boys.

Favorite thing about one another: Fae: Chris is quite the anomaly–one day he will be dressed to kill in all black and his signature Gucci loafers and the next day he will be wearing a pink John Deere hat riding his tractor and moving logs and dirt around our property. Some days, he will ride his tractor while wearing Gucci and those days are my favorite. In all seriousness, Chris is the most positive, energetic and creative person I know, and he inspires our whole family to lead a life full of gratitude. He approaches each day like anything is possible. He is never short on big brilliant ideas and his smile still makes me weak in the knees.

Chris: My favorite thing about Fae is her beautiful, kind and precious soul, love for our children and ability to to turn off work for family time. She can drop everything to make crafts, puzzles or one-on-one time with our boys; she’s truly an extraordinary mother. I also enjoy watching her when she’s in her work zone, choreographing and dancing. It is so true and real, you can tell she loves it with every ounce of her being (she’s been doing it since she was 3). I love it too! I’m also obsessed with her summer meals directly from our garden. There is no better food than home grown/made with love. She’s a master at it.

Favorite date night: Perhaps this is too self-congratulatory but all of our date nights always lead back to where our love story began. Can Can! Where else can you watch an exceptional show, with brilliant performers and amazing drinks and food? Over the years we have customized our business to be the perfect date spot for us, and we still love sitting in our cute theater together. We also love day dates and finding the best local coffee no matter where we are and taking epically long walks in beautiful places.

Favorite tradition you have as a couple: We like to wear pink together mostly. We have many other traditions revolving around family, food, holidays and travel. Leavenworth around Christmas/New Year, Hawaii around Valentine’s Day (our anniversary) and road trips in our little Shasta camper during the summer. We also like to make pancakes with our boys on Saturday mornings and take them on bike rides. I guess we are pretty boring.

What does your happily ever after look like? Our happily ever after is living a healthy, happy life with few responsibilities or possessions, lots of sun, an ocean breeze and our sweet little family close by.
