Homebase: We live in Las Vegas and perform in Seattle as part of Teatro ZinZanni.
How did your love story begin? Vita: We met in Frankfurt, Germany in 2002. We both were performing in the city but in different shows. One of my coworkers from my show introduced me to Mickael and his partners from the act “Les Petite Frères” that he performed at that time. One day, some artists from my show and Mickael’s show were celebrating the new year together. Then, talking to Mickael, we find out that in two months we would be performing together in the same show in a different city. At that moment, my English was not really good, and Micky was speaking Russian so we were communicating mostly in Russian language. I was very impressed. After that day, I didn’t see him for two months. Next time, we saw each in the new show. There we fell in love. Since that time, we have always been together. In March, it will be 20 years.
Favorite thing about one another: Vita: I love his cooking and caring.
Mickael: My favorite thing is her kindness to others and to see her performing on stage. It’s also one of the reasons I fell in love.
Favorite date night: We actually love going out and dancing. Our favorite place is salsa dancing.
Favorite tradition you have as a couple: Our favorite traditions would be Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. For both of us, it’s very important we cook a lot and invite close friends over, playing games, having food, dancing and laughing.
What does your happily ever after look like? Our future plan is to continue to work hard and continue to create beautiful art. We are working on one idea that is not finished yet but can’t wait until it’s done to show the world. As artists, we are really looking forward to opening our own show one day. That would be a dream come true!
