Hometown: Born in Melville Saskatchewan, Canada and then lived in Sedona, Arizona; Ketchum, Idaho; and Walla Walla, Washington.
First job: I started babysitting when I was 11-years-old. My first paycheck job was at the local theater and drive-in selling tickets and working the concession.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in WA: Hiking and road riding in the summer, side country and Nordic skiing in the winter.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Having two fun children grow into empathetic, caring, productive adults. As a parent, you try to do the right thing but you never know what can happen.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Losing my father to an accident at the age of 7. It took 40 years to overcome.
Someone who inspires you and why: Diane Kneeland is the owner of Kneeland Gallery in Ketchum, Idaho, She is my friend and, at 88-years-old is kind, smart and laughs a lot. She lives for today and is always learning and never lets anything from the past drag her down.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Decide what you want and strive to make it happen.
