Winter Festival

Seattle Chamber Music Society offers six in-person concerts in the intimate Nordstrom Recital Hall for the 2022 Winter Festival. This series joyfully celebrates the return of live music on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m.
The programs feature a number of favorite piano quintets by Dvořák, Franck, and Shostakovich, as well as Brahms’ beloved clarinet quintet. There are also lesser-heard masterpieces by William Grant Still, Lili Boulanger, Clara Schumann, and George Enescu. This January, includes the world premiere of Aaron Jay Kernis’ Earth, a work that we have been waiting to share since the summer of 2020.
Bringing these performances to life are 23 world-renowned musicians, including GRAMMY Award winners, concert soloists, orchestra principals, and the premier chamber musicians of today.
