Path with Art’s ArtHOME Grand Opening

September 24, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Sept. 24, from noon to 5 p.m., is the grand opening of Path with Art’s new ArtHOME, an inclusive community arts hub located below supportive housing, on Mercer Street at Seattle Center.

Path with Art supports the restoration of vulnerable individuals and communities recovering from trauma, using the power of art as a path to stability and bridge to connection. Their work has been recognized nationally and internationally, most recently receiving the Governor’s Luminary Award for their work in the pandemic. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, King Co. Councilmember Sarah Perry and Seattle City Councilmember Andrew Lewis will be on hand for the ribbon cutting.

Art-making activities will be available for all ages including ink and watercolor art, origami, botanical pressings and button making. Performances by The Path with Art Singers and PwA participating artists; Unexpected Productions improv; Seattle Opera performers; poets and spoken word artists including Pam Winters and Michelle Murray; Chaotic Noise Marching Corps; and DJ Top Spin.

The ArtWORKS store at ArtHOME will have its grand opening—featuring art created by Path with Art participant artists, including limited edition posters created in collaboration with Pearl Jam for the 2018 “Home Shows.” ArtWORKS sales benefit Path with Art participating artists.

Also on hand will be a capri-orange Telecaster guitar signed by each member of Pearl Jam, the grand prize in a sweepstakes to benefit Path with Art this fall.
